This past weekend, the Waves had their inaugural USA Swim meet, competing in the A3 Red, White, and Blue Classic in Dexter. During the course of the meet, we earned an incredible 46 new personal best times, 25 regional cuts, 6 state cuts, and 4 new team records! It was a great weekend for everyone getting to showcase our talented Waves swimmers on a new stage, and they rose to the occasion. On Wednesday, the Waves competed against the Ypsi Otters in the Mid-Distance freestyle meet. During the meet, we accrued 30 new best times en route to a dominant win, improving our record to 5-0 on the season! Our next and final dual meet of the season is November 19th at Milan HS against the Milan Makos and Ann Arbor Octopods. This will be the last opportunity to gain eligibility for Champinoships, so if you haven't done a meet yet make sure you sign up!

On Wednesday, the Waves hosted the Chelsea Bulldogs in the Butterfly meet. During the meet, we accumulated 20 new Personal Bests, and 2 new team records, en route to a 396-176 Win, moving us to 4-0 on the season. Last night, our Waves took on the Pinckney Aquatic Club Pirates in the SMSL Breaststroke meet. During the meet, we accrued 33 best times, a team record, and a new Whitmore Lake Community Rec pool record en route to a narrow 353-317 victory. On Wednesday, September 17th, the Waves kicked off the Fall SMSL Season with the Backstroke meet against the Lincoln Riptides and Ann Arbor YMCA Barracudas.
