What is Revolutionary Sports?

Revolutionary Sports (RevSports) provides quality, age-appropriate sports instruction through community partnerships with schools, community centers, park and recreation boards, early childhood learning centers and sports facilities.

The story began, in 2001, when Coach John Richardson was asked by the Minneapolis Park Board to start a pre-school soccer class at a local park. As parents spread the word, one class grew to multiple classes, until John was coaching multiple sports year round at multiple parks, across the city in 2008. RevSports offers 25 different sports which can be found in over 100 Twin Cities metro parks and schools.

RevSports coaches are identified for their ability to connect with children and teach sport and age-specific skills. All coaches are carefully selected and placed in communities to find the best fit for participants. Our success has been the result of our participants and families helping us continually improve our programs. RevSports is proud to be part of a player's skill development, confidence building and learning about teamwork.
