Erica Rose, Head Coach
With over two and a half decades of coaching experience, Erica Rose is a passionate and  dedicated swim coach who has worked with athletes at all levels, from age-group  swimmers to collegiate competitors, masters and even open water. Currently serving as a  Masters Swim Coach at Rockwood Swim Club and the Head Swim Coach at Elks Lodge,  Erica brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her coaching.
 
Her career began as a summer league coach for Sunset Hills for three years during her  summers in college. After college, she served as Visitation’s head swim coach in 2002 and  2003. Meanwhile, she began serving as an age-group coach for prominent programs like  Parkway Swim Club and Flyers Aquatic Swim Team which would continue for the next nine  years. Following her time as an age group coach, she embarked on a new challenge of  coaching adult athletes at Rockwood Swim Club, as well as spending the next 5 summers  serving as an assistant at Cedarmill Swim Club. In 2014 an opportunity to collegiate coach  came her way and she jumped at the chance. Her career highlights include serving as an  assistant coach at Maryville in 2014 and 2015, then taking over the program as Head Coach for both the men’s and women’s teams from 2016 to 2020.
 
As a former 4- year collegiate swimmer at Truman State University and a lifelong competitor, Erica understands the sport from an athlete’s, coach’s and parent’s perspective (having three of her own fish).
 
In addition to her coaching career, Erica holds a Master's in Education and is currently pursuing her EdD in Higher Education at the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She is  passionate about athlete development, fostering a positive team culture, and helping swimmers reach their full potential.
Brian Mueller, Assistant Coach
Brian Mueller joins the swim team as an assistant coach, bringing extensive experience in endurance sports and a strong commitment to athletic excellence. An accomplished endurance athlete, Brian has completed the Ironman, the Unbound Gravel 200-mile bike race, the MR340 — a 340-mile paddling race on the Missouri River — the challenging Triple Bypass cycling event, the American Birkebeiner (Birkie) ski marathon, the Barkley Fall Classic, and the Tunnel Hill 100-mile ultramarathon. His dedication, resilience, and diverse athletic background make him a valuable asset to the team, inspiring swimmers to push their limits and achieve their goals.
Aideen Floretta, Assistant Coach
Aideen is an experienced swim coach with a background in collegiate swimming. During the summers, Aideen has coached swimmers from ages 5-18. Additionally, she coaches high school swimmers during the school year. Aideen’s coaching philosophy focuses on developing technique and having fun. Happy swimmers are fast swimmers!
