HYB is a year-round, competitive swim program that encourages each team member to fulfill his or her potential in a family-oriented, small team environment.

We are a USA Swimming & YMCA Competitive Swim Team within the Metro LSC. Our swimming season begins in September and ends in June, with an optional summer season of July/August. The meets we attend are competitive and consist of both Metro meets and YMCA meets (which are USA Swimming sanctioned).

The team swims at the Huntington YMCA and has access to two 25-yard pools. During the summer months, the team also has access to the Dix Hills 50-meter pool in the mornings and the YMCA pools in the evenings.

The team is composed of age group swimmers:  8 and Under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, and 15-18 years old.  Our graduates also come back to train and swim in Open divisions.  All coaches are United States Swimming (USS) certified and hold certifications in Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED.
