Patriots Swim Smart at Harvard

There were only 51 Patriot swimmers in Attendance at the Crimson Aquatics meet at Harvard this past weekend, but the level of achievement would make you think all 150 were there.   Pats swam to a whopping 191 Personal bests and achieved 99 Silver cuts, 22 JO cuts, 16 ZQ cuts and 8 Senior Met cuts.  The kids were on fire and there is so much that needs to be recognized.  We'll start with top 8 Performances.  Two swimmers placed top 8 in all of their swims. 

Jennifer Gougelmann won the girls 8 & under 25 Breast as well as racking up a 2nd place, 2 3rd places, a 4th and 5th place. 

Diego Urreta achieved a 2nd, 2 3rds, a 4th, 5th and 7th.  

Amanda Fung achieved a 4th place,

Kassey Gonzalez  2 seventh place finishes,

Rj Hutton a 7th,

Donna Lam a 5th,

Paige Rutkoske a 2nd,

Harrison Volaski 3 2nds and a 4th,

Blair Wegescheide a 1st, 3rd and 8th

Richard Wright a 5th.

We also had quite a number of swimmers who improved on all or very near all of their swims.............

Several team records were broken at this meet.    For Peekskill.....Jennifer Gougelmann broke the Girls 8 & under 100 free and 100 Im record.   Donna Lam broke the Girls 13-14 50 Free, 100 Free and 100 Back.  Erin Mah Broke the Girls 13-14 200 Fly record.  Diego Urreta Broke the Boys 8& Under 25 Free, 50 Free, 100 Free, 50 Back and 100 IM records.   Marc Piliero broke the  Boys 13-14 100 Back record.       For Beacon.....Blair Wegescheide broke the Girls 15 & Over 200 Back Record.   Congratulations to all new record holders.
