Patriot Swimmers Heat up Winters Frost Meet
The performances by Patriot Parents and Swimmers, at this weekend's meet, was a wonder to behold. Our Parents came out in large force and easily staffed the many positions needed to run a meet of this size and were the main reason this meet ran so smoothly. Thanks to all the parents for donating their time, conecession items and food for the Hospitality area. You should know that all of your efforts paid off in a very big way.
Your swimmers responded, massively, with a tremendous total of 358 new personal best swims. There were also 161 Silver qualifying swims, 13 Junior Olympic Qualifying swims and 8 Zone Qualifying swims. They were also very busy re-writing our team records. There were 21 new Beacon Records, 27 new Peekskill Records and 21 new Patriot Combined records. The swimmers also responded to the coaches challenge to enhance the teams standing both nationally and within Metro. This past weekend they added 7,000 points bringing us to a grand total of 57,722 and bringing us to 631 out of over 3000 teams in the country. We fully expect to be under the 600 mark by the end of the short course. Our standing in metro has also improved. We are now 24th out of 76 Teams and will be charging ahead in our quest to make top 20. An amazing feet considering we started this season in 38th position.
