IM Extreme Meet Goes "Extremely" Well for Patriots

The first “Patriot Hosted” meet of the year put all of our team’s strengths on display.  We have become accustomed to our parents pitching in to fill the many positions needed to successfully run a meet, but it was great to see the many new families doing so as well.  

Our growing cadre of USA Officials did an amazing job of running the meet efficiently.  Led by our Head Referee, Ken Graham, we saw new officials being trained and returning officials learning new jobs. 

We expected our swimmers might be a bit rusty in their first meet of the year but they had other ideas, cranking out 295 personal best swims.  They also cranked out 94 Silver Championship qualifying swims, 12 Junior Olympic swims and 6 Zone Trial qualifying swims along with 7 Beacon Records and 4 Patriot Records.  They also amassed more than 34,000 Virtual Club Championship points for our team, nearly half of last year’s total in just one meet.   27 swimmers completed their IMX schedule of events in this meet.  10 more swimmers were within 1 event of completing their IMX schedule.
