Patriot Hordes Storm Viking Classic Meet -Updated
With all the challenges and negative effects of Hurricane Sandy as a backdrop, our swimmers invaded the Valley Central Natatorium and demonstrated their own brand of storm surge. The coaching staff watched, with pride and amazement, as our swimmers shook off the effects of unheated houses and days without practice by achieving a record 323 personal best performances. Along the way to this truly impressive feat, they also achieved 141 Silver Championship Qualifying swims, 21 Junior Olympic Qualifying swims, 12 Zone Team Trial Qualifying swims, 9 Beacon Records, 1 Peekskill Record and 5 Patriot Records. In Addition, Kimberly McCaffrey won the High Point Award for her age group, the second such prize she won this season.
