Welcome to The Red Lodge School of Dance!

The Red Lodge School of Dance is a thriving and vibrant dance school in our small town of Red Lodge Montana.  The school opened over 37 years ago in the fall of 1986 by Pat Luptak Brandine and Harrier Alterowitz.  They started with 30 students and only offered ballet classes. Harriet moved away and in 1995 Elizabeth Prather joined Miss Pat and together their enrollment has grown, and techniques have flourished. Today there are over 120 students studying ballet, jazz, modern, tap, hip hop, acro and creative movement.  Classes are available for toddlers as well as adults.

The Red Lodge School of Dance provides a quality dance experience through education, inspiration, and outreach activities. We promote dance as an art form as well as healthy recreation. We enable dancers young and old to realize their full potential by creating and encouraging performance opportunities.

Our motto is: Everyone can dance given the chance.

The dance schools’ goal is to provide quality dance instruction through caring, professional instructors in a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere.  The school promotes strong self-confidence, self-respect, discipline, and appreciation through the fine arts of dance.
