Welcome to Bellevue Swim Club!

Founded in 1973 as the Bellevue Barracudas, BSC is member of USA Swimming. The club is a non-profit, 501c3 organization with a parent-run board and a fully certified and educated coaching staff.  Head Coach Peggy Speer has been coaching since 1980 and has sent many swimmers to swim at all collegiate levels. She is an ASCA certified level 3 coach.

BSC supports swimmers of all abilities from Bellevue, Sarpy County, and across the Omaha metro area.  BSC is also proud to serve the families of Offutt Air Force base.  The club includes practice groups that support swimmers from ages 5-18.  The club also runs a lesson program for those interested in learning to swim.

Swimmers from BSC have gone on to swim collegiately in a number of programs, including: University of Kansas, University of Minnesota, Kenyon College, South Dakota University, Missouri University of Science and Technology, University of Nebraska-Omaha, College of Saint Mary, and Midland University.  Aditionally, BSC alumni have also gone on to compete at the world’s biggest stage of swimming, the Olympic Games. In 2012 BSC alum, Josh White, was the head Olympic swim coach for Barbados.

BSC operates out of both Bellevue area high school pools: Bellevue East HS and Bellevue West HS.  Each is 6 lanes and 25 yards long.  During the summer months, the club also has access to an outdoor 50m pool in Omaha.
