Becoming a USA Swimming Official ~ Information Night and Officials’ Social

Have you ever…

• Wanted to get more involved at your child’s meets or a closer view of the races in the pool?

• Been curious about what it’s like to be a swim official…like the ones you see in white polos at meets?

• Wondered about the perks of officiating or hoped to earn $$$ credits in your MSA account to offset monthly dues and meet fees?

If so, you are invited to join us for an informational social gathering on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Fazen Home in Weddington (off Cox Road).  Refreshments will be served, and current USA Swimming Officials will be on hand to answer all your questions about certification requirements and share the advantages of being an official for MSA.

Some of the highlights include…

• Earn $50/session (up to $200 per meet) in account credits when working as a certified official at MSA-hosted meet or Earn $25/session (up to $100 per meet) in account credits for meets that MSA attends!

• Annual USA Swimming registration fees and biennial background check costs for officials are reimbursed by MSA.

• Receive a “Meet Official” polo shirt upon successful completion of certification requirements.

• Make it possible to run successful meets, meet new friends and so very much more!!!
