ASCA offers the "Everything You Want to Know About Backstroke" clinic Feb. 6 at the Sheraton Reston Hotel in Reston, Va. This FINIS sponsored clinic is for coaches of swimmers of all ages and all ability levels. It is one intensive day. Speakers include Russell Mark, specialist in biomechanics at USA Swimming, Chuck Batchelor, coach of 2008 Olympian Elizabeth Beisel and ASCA Director John Leonard who works with age group swimmers every day. Topics include history of backstroke development, video review of world class backstroke today, modern backstroke training, teaching of backstroke to young swimmers, drills and skills.
