Elizabeth Beisel Wins 400IM Gold, plus Weekend Highlights

Wow what an exciting couple of days, too many accomplishments but I want to share some of the highlights so far we still have Nationals, Junior Nationals and New England Zone Championships before the season wraps up.

 

World Championships

Congrats to Elizabeth Beisel on winning her first World Championship Gold Medal at the 2011 FINA World Championships in the 400 IM in a time of 4:31:78!

 

14 under Age Group Championships!

Bluefish place 3rd at 14 under Championships! Awesome! Congratulations to Bluefish High Point Winners: 11-12 Girls 3rd Rebecca Zeiger, 13-14 Girls Marisa Reidemeister 4th, Lilly Vivado 5th, Liz Zeiger 8th, 13-14 Boys Jordan Ross 3rd! Relay’s did incredible, big thanks to our Relay only swimmers we couldn’t have done it with out you!  

 

Nationals started today don't miss the Live Webcast, Universal Sports and NBC TV coverage.. Universal Sports will carry the competition LIVE August 2-3 at 9pm ET. NBC will air packaged shows on August 6 from 4pm-6pm and August 7 from 5pm-6pm ET. Prelims begin at 9am PT each morning while finals begin at 6pm PT. This morning Chuck called from the National pool deck during prelims to give a quick update, Bluefish had a great morning! Both Pat Myers and Connor Green qualify for Olympic Trial’s in the 400IM Pat Myers 4:30.23 and Connor tied the cut with a time of 4:30.49; Anna Senko 100Fly 1:00.79 (32nd, 2nd Alternate), 200IM 2:17.75 (Swimming in Finals 26th); Elizabeth Beisel 200IM 2:11.85 (Seeded 2nd in tonight's Finals) 400FR 4:10.04 (seeded 6th in tonight’s final) check out results and live webcast tonight!
