- cost: $250 - The good news being you don't need to buy books. The information can be found, downloaded and printed online. Once you've signed up you'll receive class information from Jeff with pertinent links, etc.
- March 10th & 11th - after senior workout at Attleboro High School until 8pm Saturday and then Sunday 8am to approx. 8pm, possibility of being let out earlier. Two long days but it's much better than 8-12 weeks of one night a week classes.
- There are no more recerts. Everyone must redo lifeguarding/cpr/first aid due to drastic changes in both courses.
- We will take an hour break for lunch on Sunday.
- Please bring enough food, water & warm clothes for your entire time in class. We won't be taking any lengthy breaks.
- Written tests and practicals must be passed by all applicants.
- You'll need a pencil to write with.
- No cell phones will be allowed in class. If you need to make a phone call you'll be allowed to, other than that the use of any electronic devices is off limits. If you're found using any electronic devices during class without permission you will be dismissed without refund. This is to cut down on cheating as well as to assist in the smooth running of the class.
- This is a private Bluefish only class. If someone outside of Bluefish, but within your network of friends/family is interested in the class please get in touch with Jeff asap.
- The class will be capped at 25.
- Red Cross now does all certs electronically with a guaranteed 48 hour turn around time. I will be submitting a roster on March 5th so I may have certs to give out at the end of class. If you register with Jeff after that you will not get your cards until the week after class has ended.
- Since space is limited it is recommended that you sign up asap. Once your registration has been taken your spot is guaranteed.
- Louis Arruda will be helping to run the class and other certified lifeguards from the RI Beaches might be stopping in to assist where needed.
- All certs now last two years across the board. There are no more one year and three year certs.
- If anyone needs Safety Training for Coaches we can offer this as well on the weekend of the 10th & 11th as a separate portion for $6

- Checks can be mailed to Jeff Ledoux 180 Waterman Ave #317 North Providence, RI 02911. Please email Jeff at [email protected] if you've sent registration so you can get your name on the list. There will be a $35 charge for any returned checks.
- The class is being run early this year so that you can safely line up those summer jobs before anyone else. This will give you first dibs on hours, etc before another swimmer gets their foot in the door and asks for some special hours.
