Swimmers MUST complete a tryout or have talked to a coach BEFORE completing registration.

Welcome to the YGB Sea Dragons Swim Team! BYSD is a competitive swim program offered by the YMCA of Greater Boston. It incorporates the YMCA’s mission of youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility through its core values: caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Our program is open to children ages 5-18.

The Sea Dragons Swim Team is designed to meet the unique needs and aspirations of each individual swimmer. Some participants join to improve their fitness and develop their skills, while others pursue a more advanced path, competing in some of the most prestigious meets within and beyond the New England region. Many swimmers fall somewhere in between these two paths.

Our goal is to provide a program that supports each swimmer’s personal goals while fostering a welcoming and enjoyable team atmosphere. Everyone is welcome, regardless of the path they choose.
