***PRELIMINARY BRONZE MEET INFORMATION***

Good morning team,

I have a bunch of important information about our team hosted Bronze Championships coming up in just TWO weeks!

This meet is an OPT-OUT meet! Meaning your swimmer WILL be entered in the meet if they have qualified unless you let me know you cannot attend before WEDNESDAY JANUARY 8th!

Since we are hosting this meet, fees will be much different compared to normal meets. 

MEET FEES

• NORMAL MEETS
  • $5-$10 per event (50 FR, 100 FL, etc)
  • $25-$30 participation fee to host team
  • $1-$2 travel fee to New England Swim
  • $10-$25 ATLA Coach Fee
• ATLA HOSTED MEET FEES
  • $0.75 per event. (This is the fee NE charges per event swum, meaning every "splash" costs the host team only $0.75 out of every $5 to run a meet.)
  • NO participation fee!
  • $1 NE travel fee (also directly to NE swim)
  • NO coach fees!
• This means ATLA will not be charging any of our swimmers any additional money for this meet. All of the additional meet income (once NE swimming is paid) will only come from other teams. 
• Your meet costs will also be significantly cheaper than any other meet we've been to other than ORO. 
  • EXAMPLE: Joey swims 6 events at Haverhill. His meet cost would be:
    • 6 x $5 or $30 for his events
    • $25 participation fee
    • $10 coach fee
    • $1 travel fees
    • Total of $66. 
  • If Joey swam the same 6 events at Bronze for ATLA, his meet cost would be:
    • 6 x $0.75 or $4.50 for his events
    • $1 travel fee
    • Total of $5.50

QUALIFIERS

• Bronze qualifying times can be found HERE ON THE NE SWIM WEBSITE!
• Attached here is an eligibility report for Bronze.
• If your swimmer is NOT on this report, they do not have any qualifying times for Bronze yet. 
• All the times in the WHITE boxes have qualified for Bronze. If your swimmer is aged 8&U, all of their 100 times will be WHITE, however they need a legal time in those events to swim them!
• Attached here is preliminary meet information like start times.

THERE WILL BE NO PRACTICE FOR ANY GROUPS ON FRIDAY JANUARY 17th! WE WILL NEED ALL HANDS ON DECK AT THE MEET!

PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP IF YOU CANNOT ATTEND BRONZE!
