D1 NCAA Swimming and Diving
Hello everyone!
It's a very exciting time for college sports! As I'm sure we all know March Madness is starting today! Get your brackets done if you haven't done so already! I did mine and a co-worker's, but it seems that she is doing better than me....
Anyway, there is also the D1 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships! Right now, the women are going head to head with some events already done out of the way! Make sure to keep an eye on some of our past Olympians in Torri Huske, Emma Sticklen and the Walsh sisters! There are also some others to watch out for as well like Bella Sims, Claire Curzan, Katie Grimes and Phoebe Bacon! We have a few others names like Lucy Bell from Stanford and Anna Peplowski from Indiana University!
On the men's side, we have the sprint of the century between Josh Liendo and Jordan Crooks! The world record for the 50 Free set by Calaeb Dressel may be falling, but I, unfortunately, do not think that it will fall just yet this year. It will be close, though! All eyes are on Jordan Crooks for that! We have Luca Urlando for the Fly events! If you followed his recovery process from his injury a few years back, he is back and stronger than ever and is eager to make a name for himself on the world stage! Of course, we can't forget about Luke Hobson and Hubert Kos! Maybe Rex Maurer's time (4:04) will take down Leon Marchand's 500 Free time (4:02)!
Stay tuned to the meets! This weekend from Thursday, March 20th to Sunday, March 23rd will be the D1 NCAA Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. Next weekend from Thursday, March 27th to Sunday, March 30th will be the D1 NCAA Men's Swimming and Diving Championships. Let's watch some of the fiercest races in history!
