Shawmut Swims Fast at NE 12 & Under Championships!

Shawmut had a great weekend at 12 & Under Championships in White River Junction, VT. With every team in New England eligible to attend, the meet hosted all of the most competitive 12 & Under athletes in New England. Shawmut had more qualifiers for the meet than almost every other team and scored a total over of 917 points throughout the weekend!
 
Congratulations to Christian Schoen for placing 6th overall in the 9-10 boy highpoint standings with 136 points, and to Molly Pierce for placing 3rd overall in the 11-12 girls age group for high point with 185 points. Eight team records were broken throughout the weekend. Molly set individual team records in the 200 back, 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke, 100 IM, 200 IM and 400 IM. Additionally, the 11-12 girls relay (Pierce, Kate Yuan, Elsie Slowe, Christian Yang) set team records in the 200 & 400 freestyle relays.
 
Way to go to all other Shawmut individual point scorers: Kara McCurdy (4 points), Andrea Wei (6 points), Kate Yuan (59 points), Christian Yang (46 points), Jaclyn Pecze (3 points), Jake Hogan (46 points), Harrison Shockley (2 points). Perhaps most impressive is that Shawmut relays scored over 400 points in total. In usual Shawmut fashion, the group performed exceptionally well in the relays, and our team-focused effort made a huge difference! Way to go Shawmut 12 & Unders!!
