William McClelland and Sonia Mlakar Named USA Swimming Scholastic All-Americans

USA Swimming has announced its 2021–2022 Scholastic All-American Team, and Gator Swim Club - Seekonk's William McClelland and Sonia Mlakar join the impressive roster of 1,281 student-athletes, including National Champions Erin Gemmell, Baylor Nelson, and Katie Grimes. 

In order to be considered for this year's team, swimmers had to earn a GPA of at least 3.5 for the 2021-2022 school year and achieve any of the high-level competition criteria between September 1, 2021 and August 31, 2022. Both William and Sonia are Junior National qualifiers. 

The highly-selective team features 314 athletes from the Eastern Zone, and William and Sonia are two of just 24 student-athletes from New England to earn a spot.
