2025 LCM Championship Meet Highlights

 

Senior Championships

This summer, United brought 17 swimmers to the New England Seniors meet and placed 17th out of 41 scoring teams. The swimmers swam hard and cheered hard with 14 of our swimmers posting one or more best times over the weekend resulting in 4 individual and 2 relay team records! Shoutout to Nora Williamson who made Sectionals in the 50m free and Isabela Teixeira for scoring 62 points!

 

On the last night of finals, we celebrated five of our graduating seniors, who competed in the Senior Championship,  at the senior ceremony - Hangyel Park (Boston College), Andrew Lu (UMass Amherst), Vance Petrossi (University of Florida), Isabela Teixeira (Cornell University), Caroline Tyrrell (Bates College). This also marks the graduation of inaugural members from USC’s first Junior group – oh how time flies!

10 & Under Age Group Championships

 

United only had 1 swimmer this summer at 10&Under Age Group Championships, but still managed to place 11th out of 31 scoring teams on the back of Yisu Shi’s tremendous efforts. Yisu medaled in 6 of her 7 events on her way to 93 points and earned the 5th place plaque in the Individual High Point Award! Yisu remains primed and ready to represent United with Team New England at the EZ LCM Age Group Zones Championships in August.

Additional Highlights:

• Senior Swimmers joined the coaches on deck on the final day of 10&Under champs to show support and cheer on Yisu in her 200 free, 100 fly, and 50 breast

• Yisu’s road to 5th point high point: 200 free (2nd), 100 free (3rd), 50 free (3rd), 50 breast (5th), 100 breast (7th), 200 IM (7th), 100 fly (11th)

11-14 Age Group Championships

United brought 8 individual swimmers and 4 relay swimmers to 11-14 AG championships placing 19th out of 42 scoring teams with 238 points. All 8 of our individual swimmers swam at least 1 best time over the course of the weekend resulting in 9 individual team records! As a team, we had 22 individual finals swims with all 8 of our swimmers making it back at night in at least 1 event. Our swimmers put together some strong efforts in the relays as well breaking 3 team records! Saturday afternoon, we had 5 swimmers time trial events after the prelim session with 2 swimming best times. Shoutout to Felix Cui who scored 58 points, Luisa Teixeira who scored 38 points, and Ayan Nayak who scored 34 points!

USC/CRA Harvard T/F Meet

United co-hosted the trials/finals meet at Harvard to close out the summer. Many swimmers were able to wrap up their LCM season with some fast swims with United placing 5th out of 20 scoring teams! Across all groups we had 61 finals swims over the course of the weekend resulting in 7 team records falling, numerous best times, and even some cut times for other championship meets. Eastern Zones LCM Age Group Championships and Senior Championships

USC sent two swimmers to represent Team New England, Felix Cui and Yisu Shi, at Age Group Zones in Virginia. 

Yisu posted personal bests in 6 of her swims breaking 4 team records with her 50 free and 100 free being the fastest time for 9-10 girls in New England this year! She was also a part of four 10&U Girls Team New England relays: 200 free relay (6th), 400 medley relay(4th), 400 free relay (2nd), and 200 medley relay (5th). Felix swam 4 individual events and broke his own team record in the 100 free.  He was also part of three 13-14 boys Team New England relays: 200 free relay (11th), 400 medley relay (11th), and 200 medley relay (12th).

United had five swimmers at the Senior Zones meet in New York: Victor Ao, Cale Barker, Bowen Clarke, Aaron Gao, and Callum Musto. Our senior swimmers posted a plethora of  personal best times with 5 individual finals swims and 3 team records broken! The boys also put up some fast swims for their 200 free relay (7th) and 400 free relay (12th) breaking team records in both.
