Coaches and Directors
Heather grew up in Oswego, and started competitively swimming at the age of 7. After swimming for OLSC through high school, she went on to compete for Nazareth College of Rochester, where she served as co-captain for junior and senior years. Heather earned both her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Education, as well as her Masters of Science in Education from Nazareth. She has several years of coaching experience with club teams, and is honored to be returning to the pool deck as a coach for OLSC.
Julie is originally from Maine where she received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maine at Farmington. She received her Masters degree in special education at SUNY Oswego. For the past 18 years, she has been involved in swimming as a parent of two simmers, Josh and Kaela; a USA and Section 3 Varsity/Modified official; club registrar for OLSC; and coach for the Learn to Swim, Stroke School and Age Group programs. She enjoys working with all levels and loves to see the growth many of her swimmers achieve.
Carolyn grew up in Oswego and started competitively swimming with OLSC at the age of 9. She went on to compete for Grove City College (PA) where she specialized in freestyle and breaststroke. Carolyn earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from GCC and and her Bachelor of Arts in mathematics from SUNY Oswego. She also earned her Masters of Science in Education from SUNY Oswego. Carolyn is excited to be returning to the team as a coach.
Landon grew up in Newark, NY, and is currently studying at SUNY Oswego to earn a bachelor's degree in both Biology and Spanish. While also being an RA, Landon loves to help others and help them achieve their greatest potential. He started to swim competitively in 7th grade and instantly grew a love for the sport and discipline that it had taught him. His goal while working at the OLSC is to help set a strong foundation for swimmers and pass along the skills that swimmers will use throughout their careers. Landon plans on continuing to coach swimming throughout his future, as well as coaching baseball.
Kaela grew up in Palermo and stared competitively swimming with OLSC at the age of 11. After swimming for OLSC throughout high school, she went on to compete for SUNY Oswego where she specialized in backstroke. Kaela earned her Bachelor’s of Arts in English and Education. Kaela also earned her Minor Degree in Athletic Coaching. She has several years of coaching with OLSC and is grateful to be back on the pool deck.
Austin grew up in Oswego and attended Oswego High School. He swam for the Boy's Varsity Team and the Oswego Laker Swim Club. He was Team Captain his Senior year at OHS. During his Senior year, he won the 500 Free at Sectionals and swam a New York State qualifying time. He continued his education at Le Moyne College. He was the Men's Swim Team MVP his Sophmore year, voted Team Captain his Senior year and currently holds the Le Moyne school record in the 1,000 Free. He has his Bachelor's Degree in Comminications and has a double minor in Business and Ethics.
Austin is happy to be coaching our Senior group at OLSC. He has many fond childhood memories and has made lasting friendships through his time at OLSC.

Terri grew up around the pool and swam for the Liverpool Jets as a child. She swam for the Liverpool High School Varsity team for 4 years. She graduated from SUNY Canton with her Associates Degree and then continued her education at SUNY Oswego with a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. She than took on the exciting role of Swim Parent. Her son Austin, also has a passion for swimming and followed the swimming path. He swam for the Oswego High School Swim team along with the Oswego Laker Swim Club. He then went on to swim at Le Moyne College.
Terri currently works at Pathfinder Bank in Oswego as a Senior HR Specialist. She is one of our Learn to Swim Coaches along with our Secretary for the Board of Directors. Terri is excited to be back in the water with all the little tadpoles.
