New Member Welcome – North Irvine Water Polo Club

 
Welcome to NIWPC. To ensure a smooth start for your athlete and family, please complete the items below and review how our program operates week to week.
 
1. USA Water Polo Membership
All athletes must have an active USA Water Polo membership before participating in practices or tournaments.
Please complete registration through USAWP and keep your membership current at all times.
 
2. City of Irvine ID
Athletes must have a valid City of Irvine ID on file.
This is required for access to Irvine facilities and check-in at practices.
 
3. GroupMe Communication
NIWPC uses GroupMe for team communication.
Download the GroupMe app and request to be added to your athlete’s team group.
This is where we share quick updates, reminders, and important information.
 
4. Weekly Schedule
A detailed practice and event schedule is emailed each week.
Please review it regularly so you are aware of training times, locations, and any changes.
 
5. Tournament RSVP
Families are responsible for RSVPing for tournaments.
You will receive notifications through our calendar and email.
Please accept or decline by the posted deadline so we can plan rosters and entries accurately.
 
6. Team Apparel Requirements
All athletes must have the following:
• Saturday games: Red suit and red NIWPC shirt
• Sunday games: Black suit and black NIWPC shirt
• Black bottoms (shorts, sweats, or leggings) for all game days
 
7. Tournament Fees
Tournament entry fees are separate from monthly dues.
Fees are only charged when your athlete is placed on a tournament roster.
 
8. Know Your Roster Team
Each athlete is assigned to a roster team (Black, Red, etc.).
Please make sure you know which team your athlete is on, as practice expectations and tournament participation may vary by roster.
