The HealthQuest Hammerheads Swim Team offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of the HealthQuest Hammerheads Swim Team to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of THEIR abilities.

Hammerheads League

 

Beginner Group

This is our entry level group. An athlete needs to be able to swim 3 consecutive laps of the pool and be able to swim Freestyle and Backstroke.

Workout Days/Times:

Monday and Wednesday        4:15 pm - 5 pm

Tuesday and Thursday           5:15 pm - 6 pm

League Swimmers choose two practices per week that fit into their schedule.


Intermediate Group

From the Beginner group, athletes move into this group. Athletes in this group focus mainly on learning four legal competitive strokes, having fun, and perfecting start and turn technique.

Workout Days/Times:


Monday and Wednesday - 5 pm - 6 pm

Tuesday and Thursday   -  4:15 pm - 5:15 pm

 

League swimmers choose 3 workouts that fit into their schedule.

Advanced Group

From the Intermediate group, athletes move into this group. Athletes in this group are usually at least 10 years old and are proficient in all strokes and turns. 


Workout Days/Times:

Monday - Thursday 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

League Swimmers practice 4 days a week.
 



Hammerheads USA Team

Athletes entering this group must display a desire to begin training on a more committed basis. Competition at swim meets is expected in this group. Training takes precedence over technique work for the first time in the athlete's development in the Intermediate and Advanced Groups.   Swimmers should attend all practice sessions for their group.

Tuesday and Thursday           5:15 pm - 6:15 pm

Intermediate USA

Workout Days/Times:

Monday and Wednesday -       5:00 pm - 6:15 pm

Tuesday and Thursday   -        4:15 pm - 5:30 pm

Advanced USA

Workout Days/Times:

Monday - Thursday             6:00 pm - 8 pm

Sunday                                6 pm - 7 pm
