'Cudas Rock the Blocks at Silver Bronze Champs

It was a fantastic showing at this season’s NJ Swimming Silver Bronze Championships at Berkeley Aquatics over the weekend. Our 25 attending swimmers had stellar swims with a bunch of Personal Bests, top places, and a lot of fun in the process!

In a testament to everyone’s training and a successful season, an incredible 73 of our 92 splashes- almost 80%- were Personal Best Times! Some impressive examples were Marcus Innamorato’s 200 Back (-7.28); Erin Magnotta’s 500 Free (-5.93); Erin McLean’s 200 Back (-8.80); Sabrina Motyka’s 100 IM (-16.10); Will Tagliareni’s 500 Free (-20.81); Evan Weinberger’s 200 Breast (-7.37) and 200 IM (-8.08); and Jillian Weinberger’s 400 IM (-8.47) and 100 Free (-6.75) to name a few!

In the Bronze division, some of our top places were swum by Piper Torella (2^nd in the 100 Breast); Erin McLean (2^nd in the 100 Back, 2^nd in the 200 Back); Kayla Bhagaloo (6^th in the 100 Back, 5^th in the 200 IM, 2^nd in the 100 Fly, 3^rd in the 200 Free); Teddy Mills (6^th in the 100 Back); Evan Weinberger (2^nd in the 200 IM, 2^nd in the 100 Free, 3^rd in the 50 Free); Jillian Weinberger (6^th in the 100 Breast); Marcus Innamorato (4^th in the 100 Breast, 2^nd in the 200 Back, 4^th in the 50 Free); Cait Neill (5^th in the 50 Free, 4^th in the 100 Fly); and a First Place by Kayla Bhagaloo (50 Free)!

Some of the top places earned in the Silver division were by Rylee Bambara (5^th in the 50 Fly, 5^th in the 100 Breast, 3^rd in the 100 Free); Aiden Wroe-Street (2^nd in the 50 Fly); Jillian Weinberger (6^th in the 100 Free); Erin Magnotta (2^nd in the 100 Free, 2^nd in the 200 Free); Ty Hollar (2^nd in the 50 Breast); Sadie Cornelius (3^rd in the 50 Free; Evan Weinberger (6^th in the 200 Breast)  including Firsts by Ty Hollar (100 IM); Erin Magnotta (500 Free, 50 Free, 100 Fly) and Will Tagliareni (500 Free, 100 Back, 100 Breast); and Jillian Weinberger (400 IM)!

Berkeley Aquatics (host) wanted us to share that awards are being processed and will be delivered to teams at a later date.

A special congratulations to those swimmers who earned new JO cuts: Rylee Bambara (100 Free, 50 Fly); Sadie Cornelius (50 Free); Ty Hollar (100 IM, 50 Breast); Erin Magnotta (100 Fly, 100 Free, 200 Free, 50 Free); Will Tagliareni (100 Back, 500 Free); Evan Weinberger (200 Breast); and Jillian Weinberger (100 Free, 400 IM).

For those swimmers moving on to JOs and beyond, special modified practices resume today (see calendar for details). For everyone else, congratulations on an awesome season and enjoy the downtime!
