Our swimmers traveled outside our LSC to attend this season’s NDAC Kevin Storr’s Winter Festival at Valley Central High School in Montgomery, NY. They had a great weekend and returned home with many achievements to boast about. An incredible 33 Top 3 finishes were swum, including First Places by Reese Berg (400 IM); Julia Dutzi (100 Fly); Ty Hollar (100 Back, 100 Free, 200 IM); Alex Johnson (100 Breast); John Wintermute (200 Fly, 400 IM); and Jack Zaimis (100 Breast). Congratulations to all of our swimmers who participated in our 7th Annual Turkey Trials! They ventured outside of their comfort zone this Thanksgiving morning swimming in either the 1000 Free, 2000 Free, 4000, Free, 4000 IM, or 5000 Free. They not only swam for their bragging rights, but also a great cause- our swimmers raised $350.00 for Manna House, a local soup kitchen in Newton! Registration opens in December! As our Fall/Winter Session 1 draws to a close, Priority Registration for Session 2 (Jan-March) opens Wednesday 12/3 for swimmers currently enrolled in Session 1. Beginning Monday 12/8, it will be opened to everyone else (first come, first served). Lessons (30 minutes) are offered on Thursdays at Blair Academy from 1/8-1/29, then move to Kittatinny Regional High School for the remainder of the session. NJB swimmers hit the blocks this past Saturday at the Jersey Aquatic Center in New Providence for another fun weekend of swimming at the JAC Fall Festival. Our 34 attending swimmers joined those from 14 other teams and came away with some top finishes, personal best times, some qualifying standards, and more. Our swimmers had another great meet this past weekend at REBEL’s Splashing Pumpkin Invitational at the Jersey Aquatic Center in New Providence! They joined swimmers from 10 different teams for a busy weekend of fast swimming! Congrats to our 29 swimmers who competed at the CONDORS Fall Festival at Feliz Festa Middle School this past weekend. They joined swimmers from 14 other teams for our first outing of the season. October 4th is a busy day within our LSC. NJ Swimming is hosting two simultaneous events for swimmers in tandem with its annual HOD Meeting. All events will take place at the Jersey Aquatic Center in New Providence, NJ. We are canceling our regularly scheduled practices that day so that swimmers can participate. We will offer a Friday night practice for Juniors the night before so they don’t miss out on their water time. If your child has any swimsuits (still wearable please), equipment, clothing or gear that they no longer use or have outgrown, please bring it to the table on deck to donate to others on the team who may be able to use it. We're proud to share our coaches Cali, Hannah, and Rowan will be attending the 49th Annual Eastern States Coaches Clinic in King of Prussia, PA. They will train alongside olympic coaches and athletes, along with some of the top industry leaders in the swim world! It will be exciting to see what they bring back to enhance our swimmers training and experiences!
