Swimmers Make A Big Splash at Pumpkin Invite!

Our swimmers had another great meet this past weekend at REBEL’s Splashing Pumpkin Invitational at the Jersey Aquatic Center in New Providence! They joined swimmers from 10 different teams for a busy weekend of fast swimming!

Despite some stiff competition, our swimmers splashed in some top places like swims by Reese Berg (1st in the 400 IM, 2nd in the 100 Breast, 3rd in the 200 Breast); Abby Czinkota (2nd in the 200 Back); and Ty Hollar (3rd in the 200 Back); just to name a few.

The attending NJB swimmers swam 41 Personal Bests out of their 95 splashes. Combined with our first time swims, 60% of our performances were new marks! A bunch were significant drops like Bridgit Campbell’s 100 Free (-6.13); Ella Dodd’s 200 Free (-9.24) and 100 Breast (-5.61); Adam Marton’s 100 Free (-8.48) and 50 BAck (-6.90); Daniel Marton’s 50 Back (-5.95), 100 Back (-15.05), and 100 Free (-7.12); Sabrina Motyka’s 100 Free (-46.86) and 50 Free (-21.35); Briella Selby’s 100 Back (-17.09) and 100 IM (-13.52); Zoey Thaller’s 200 Breast (-18.90); and John Wintermute’s 200 Breast (-39.80); as just a few highlights!

A special shout out to our swimmers who swam Gold times in their current age groups: Ana Apostolou (100 Fly); Reese Berg (100 & 200 Breast); Ty Hollar (200 Back); and John Wintermute (200 Breast). There were also 18 Silver times swum!

Great job by all! Next up we return to the Jersey Aquatic Center for the JAC Fall Festival on 11/15!
