Times Continue to Fall at Festival
NJB swimmers hit the blocks this past Saturday at the Jersey Aquatic Center in New Providence for another fun weekend of swimming at the JAC Fall Festival. Our 34 attending swimmers joined those from 14 other teams and came away with some top finishes, personal best times, some qualifying standards, and more.
Ana Apostolou (10) dropped an amazing -17.39 in her 200 Free to place 6th. She topped that with a 5th Place in her 100 Fly, and also took 9th in her 100 Breast. Colbie Mosher (9) got in on the action with a 10th Place in her first ever 100 Fly, as did Sam Taylor (12) in her 100 Back. Reese Berg (16) brought the magic, too, taking 8th in the 100 Breast, 5th in the 400 IM, and 4th in her 200 Breast!
Our 120 splashes throughout the weekend yielded 49 new Personal Bests. Some especially large drops were splashed in by Ana Apostolou in her 200 Free (-17.39); Carter Bambara in his 200 IM (-14.56); Abby Czinkota in her 500 Free (-19.29); Julia Dutzi in her 200 Free (-30.42); Chris Jaromski in both his 200 Fly (-27.36) and 200 Free (-13.32); Briella Selby in her 50 Fly (-13.73); and Zoe Thaller in her 200 Free (-13.24). If you combine our swimmers personal bests with our first time swims, about 58% of our swims were new marks! Our swims resulted in 3 Gold and 24 Silver cuts!
Congrats to all of our attending swimmers!
