Swimmers Splash N’ Dash to Top Places and Times
Our first competition of the long course season was held this past weekend at Berkeley Aquatics in New Providence. By the end of the weekend our swimmers achieved personal best times, top places, and some first-ever swims. The meet was a big success!
Our Barracudas splashed-in a bunch of top places, including Firsts by Ty Hollar (50 Free); Nathaniel Kern (100 Fly, 200 IM, 50 Fly); and Hannah Wilson (200 IM, 400 Free). They were followed closely by our other Top-3 finishers Reese Berg (3rd in the 100 Breast and 50 Free, 2nd in the 50 Breast); Alex Cuello (2nd in the 50 Fly, 3rd in the 50 Back); Ryan Juckett (2nd in the 400 Free and 50 Breast); Jonathan Kern (2nd in the 100 Back, 3rd in the 50 Fly); Connor Kovach (2nd in the 50 Back); Carter Muller (3rd in the 50 Back); and Hannah Wilson (2nd in the 100 Back).
Of our 40 splashes over the weekend, 38 were either Personal Best (long course) times or first-ever swims.
We are currently working on our new team Long Course records. When complete, the following swims from this weekend will have set their marks: Reese Berg (50 & 100 Breast, 50 & 100 Free); Rylee Bambara (100 Back, 100 & 400 Free); Ty Hollar (50 Free, 100 Breast); Jonathan Kern (100 Back); Nathaniel Kern (50 & 100 Fly, 200 IM); Hannah Wilson (400 Free, 100 Back, 200 IM); and Ryan Juckett (400 Free).
Congrats to our swimmers!
