Memorial Day Weekend Fun

 Some of our swimmers took a break from the holiday weekend to compete at Berkeley Aquatics’ Memorial Day Invitational, joining 12 other teams that were invited to attend. There were some great swims, with our 32 Splashes yielding 8 First Places and 4 Second Places; 11 Personal Bests; and 16 First-ever long course swims.

Top Places were swum by Ty Hollar (2^nd in the 400 Free, 2^nd in the 200 IM, 3^rd in the 100 Fly); Nathaniel Kern (1^st in the 100 Fly, 200 Free, 400 Free, 50 Fly, 50 Free, and 2^nd in the 50 Back); and Hannah Wilson (1^st in the 100 Back, 400 IM, 50 Free, and 2^nd in the 1500).

Personal Bests were earned by Rylee Bambara (-1.89 in her 400 Free); Matt Freund (-5.18 in his 100 Free, -11.16 in his 200 IM); Ty Hollar (-9.87 in his 50 Back); Nathaniel Kern (-32.54 in his 200 Free, -0.39 in his 50 Fly, -8.86 in his 50 Free); Jillian Weinberger (-3.48 in her 100 Back, -0.32 in her 50 Free); and Hannah Wilson (-1.07 in her 100 Back).

When our new Long Course team records gets completed, new marks will have been set by Rylee Bambara (200 Free, 400 Free, 100 Fly); Nathaniel Kern (50 Free, 200 Free, 400 Free, 50 Back, 50 Fly); and Hannah Wilson (50 Free, 1500 Free, 100 Back, 400 IM).
