Freund Excels at Futures Championships

Matt Freund had an impressive showing at USA Swimming’s Futures Championships in Geneva, Ohio. The meet took place at the famous SPIRE Institute from 7/27-7/30. Impressive enough just to qualify for this meet, Matt went all-in earning impressive finishes and some Presonal Bests along the way.

He started off the meet with the grueling 200 Fly. Making it back to finals, he fought his way to a 12^th Place finish (from being seeded 21^st) and a drop of -1.41 seconds! He also had great swims in his 100 Free (-0.14), 100 Fly, and 200 Free (-3.25).
