Kern & Wilson Contribute to NJ Swimming’s 1st Place at Zones!
Congratulations to Nathaniel Kern and Hannah Wilson on their making the New Jersey Swimming All-Stars Zone Team. This team was comprised of top swimmers from around our LSC. They joined 10 other LSC teams from around the Northeast at the Eastern Zones Long Course Age Group Championships (Zones) held at Ithaca College from 8/3-8/6. New Jersey Swimming took First Place, edging out Virginia Swimming 1095-1054. It was the first time they took the top spot in 25 years, and the first time ever earning over 1000 points! Nathaniel and Hannah played a big part of that honor by collectively earning 106 individual points and contributed towards a few top-placing (including 5 First Place) relays!
Both swam personal bests in all of their events this meet.
Hannah had a great meet, taking a First place in the 200 Back (-2.20); 2nd Places in the 200 Free (-2.63) and the 1500 Free (-20.86); a 3rd in the 400 Free (-3.07); and more. She was also a member of the 1st Place 400 Free and 200 Medley Relays!
Nathaniel had a awesome meet too, earning 1st Places in the 100 Fly (-2.21) and 50 Fly (-0.59); 2nd Places in the 100 Free (-0.26), 200 Free (-1.91), 400 Free (-6.43); a 3rd in the 200 Fly (-1.81); and more. He was also contributed to the 1st Place 400 Medley, 400 Free, and 200 Medley Relays!
What amazing accomplishments from these two athletes! We are very proud!
