Swimming with the Sharks

Our swimmers joined competitors from 6 other teams for the prelims/finals NYSA Holiday Classic in West Nyack over the weekend. It was a great meet for our Barracudas with many top places, personal bests, and more!

Our swimmers swam with tenacity. Of our 169 splashes, 88 were Finals swims and 64 were Personal Bests! Despite stiff competition, we had a bunch of top places, including 18 First Places by Reese Berg (100 Breast, 100 Free, 200 Breast); Kayla Bhagaloo (200 Fly); Ty Hollar (100 Breast, 100 Fly, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 50 Free, 200 IM, 500 Free); Jonathan Kern (100 IM); and Nathaniel Kern (100 Free, 200 Fly, 200 Free, 200 IM, 50 Free). There were also 16 other Top-3 Places swum!

A special congrats to Ty Hollar (500 Free, 200 Back, 200 Breast); Reese Berg (100 Breast, 200 Breast); and Nathaniel Kern (400 IM) for setting new NJB Team Records!
