Wilson Rocks It at Speedo Sectionals

Congratulations to Hannah Wilson on her successes at the 2023 Eastern Zones Speedo Sectionals at Ithaca College on 3/23-3/26. This meet has some of the fastest swimmers from over 80 teams in the Northeast, and just qualifying for it is impressive. This young lady didn’t stop there.

In her full slate of 7 events, Hannah not only qualified for Finals in all of her events but was the youngest swimmer in them. This didn’t stop her from finishing in scoring positions in 6 of those 7 events including 17th (100 Free), 16th (200 Back), 15th (200 Free), 6th (500 Free), and two incredible 4ths (1000 Free, 1650 Free)! Despite her grueling schedule of distance events, she maintained a positive attitude throughout the meet, negative split her distance races, and always fought for her finishes!  

These performances resulted in Personal Bests for her 1000 Free (-4.06), 1650 Free (-25.21), 200 Free (-1.31), 400 IM (-0.22), and her 500 Free (-0.90). These were also new Team Records!

Her 1000, 1650, and 200 Free were also USA Swimming Futures Championships cuts!

She has proven herself to be quite an accomplished athlete with what is sure to be an exciting career ahead. We are all very proud of her successes!
