Great Swims at ‘Gobbled’ Meet

Congrats to our 26 attending swimmers at the Great Gobbled meet this past weekend at Raritan Valley Community College.

Despite some heady competition from 11 different teams, NJB dominated the top spots all weekend long with a total 33 Top-3 finishes, including 21 First Places swum by Ty Hollar (1650, 500); Jonathan Kern (100 Fly, 100 Free, 100 IM, 200 Back, 200 Free, 200 IM, 50 Back, 50 Free), Nathaniel Kern (100 Fly, 100 Free, 100 IM, 200 Back, 200 Free, 200 IM, 50 Free); Hannah Wilson (100 Free, 200 Back, 200 IM); and our Boy’s 200 Free Relay (Hollar, C.Muller, Kovach, N. Kern).

A bunch of our 103 splashes over the course of the meet were first-ever swims and some off-events, but of the remaining there were 38 Personal Bests earned like Molly Bellflower’s 100 IM (-9.95); Reese Berg’s 500 Free (-15.12); Ty Hollar’s 500 Free (-8.63); Connor Kovach’s 100 IM (-22.73); Enzo Lombardo’s 100 IM (-43.11); Kaylee Moss’s 50 Breast (-8.04); Samantha Taylor’s 100 Back (-6.45) and 50 Breast (-6.57); Zoe Thaller’s 50 Breast (-6.70); Evan Weinberger’s 100 IM (-7.81); Jillian Weinberger’s 100 IM (-6.15); and more!

And just for the gravy on top, 8 new Club records were set by Molly Bellfowers (25 Back); Jonathan Kern (50 Back, 100 IM); Reese Berg (100 IM); Nathaniel Kern (100 IM); Hannah Wilson (200 Back); Jillian Weinberger (100 IM); and our Boy’s 13-14 200 Free Relay (Hollar, C.Muller, Kovach, N. Kern)!
