Metersmania!

Our 18 attending swimmers had a great time at the REBEL Metersmania meet at Jersey Aquatic Center in New Providence this past weekend. The meet was very competitive, with athletes from 19 teams in attendance, including swimmers from Aruba and US Army Swimming! Our small band of dedicated swimmers did well, with the girls finishing 10th and the boys finishing 7th!

 

Those impressive places were due to some great scoring swims by  Ty Hollar, Jonathan Kern, Nathaniel Kern, Enzo Lombardo, Ethan Rodriguez, Jillian Weinberger, and  Hannah Wilson, including 7 First Places by  Nathaniel (100 Free, 200 IM, 400 Free) and  Hannah (100 Breast, 200 Back, 200 Breast, 200 IM)!

 

There were other accomplishments as well. About 22 of our 61 splashes were first-time long course swims! Of the remaining, another 22 were Personal Bests including some big drops like  Marcus Innamorato's 100 Free (-25.74);  Jonathan Kern's 400 IM (-10.61);  Carter Muller's 100 Breast (-10.06);  Channing Muller's 100 BAck (-21.51); and  Briella Selby's 50 Breast (-28.00); just to name a few! 

 

A special shout-out to  Hannah Wilson for earning the Girls 13 & Over High Point winner!
