NJB Brings The Heat at Rutgers!
Our swimmers have been putting in the work the last few weeks, which means racing tired. But that didn't stop them from having great races, getting best times, and having fun at this past weekend’s Bring the Heat meet at Rutgers. Our kids joined their peers from 12 other teams for a day of long and fast racing!
Many of our swimmers swam events out of their comfort zone, a third of them to be exact, while another third were Personal Bests! There were many big drops, including Jonathan Kern’s 200 IM (-8.88); Nathaniel Kern’s 200 Fly (-7.24);Channing Muller’s 100 Free (-23.30); and 50 Back (-8.97); and Briella Selby’s 200 Free (-28.50) just to name a few.
And at a time where many of the smaller clubs in NJ are being swallowed up by big mega-clubs, our small crew of dedicated swimmers made their presence known, splashing in 12 top-3 finishes including 7 First Places by Jonathan Kern (200 Back); Nathaniel Kern (200 Fly, 200 Free, 200 IM); and Hannah Wilson (100 Back, 200 Fly, 200 IM)! Wow!
Congrats, everyone!
