Swimmers Shine at Silver Bronze Championships
It was a busy weekend of swimming at NJ Swimming’s Silver Bronze Championships, with our 13 & Overs competing at Rutgers University and our 12 & Unders hitting the pool at Princeton University. We had some amazing performances at both meets!
Our 12 & Unders arrived ready to put their training to the test and finished the meet with 10 Personal Bests out of their 12 splashes, like Anna Apostolou’s 100 Free (-3.14) and 50 Breast (-1.09); Julia Dutzi’s 100 Breast (-4.09); Ethan Rodriguez’s 50 Breast (-2.00); Briella Selby’s 100 Breast (-6.97) and 50 Free (-0.90); Sam Taylor’s 100 Breast (-0.36), 50 Back (-0.95), and 50 Free (-0.97); and a special shout-out to Molly Bellflowers on her 8th Place finish and new Gold cut in the 50 Free (-1.44)!
Our 13 & Overs were also ready for success with Personal Bests like Marcus Innamorato’s 100 Free (-1.76); Carter Muller’s 100 Breast (-0.47), and 100 Free (-2.26); Channing Muller’s 100 Back (-1.90); and Jillian Weinberger’s 100 Back (-1.34), 100 Breast (-7.68), 100 Free (-0.50), and her 200 Back (-5.70). Jillian also made Finals in two of her events, swimming to a 5th Place finish in her 100 Back and a 6th Place in her 200 Back!
Congratulations to all of our swimmers and coaches, and good luck to those moving on to Gold Championships, USA Swimming Futures, and beyond…
