NDAC Kevin Storrs Winter Festival

Our swimmers traveled outside of our LSC this past weekend to compete at the Kevin Storr’s Winter Festival at Valley Central High School in Montgomery, NY. It was another amazing meet with some incredible swims, Personal Bests, Top Places, and more.

Joining athletes from 14 other teams, out 21 attending swimmers swam tough touching in a slew of top finishes, including top 3 swims by  Rylee Bambara (2nds in 100 Back, 100 Free); Reese Berg (2nds in 100 Fly, 100 Free, 200 IM); Julia Dutzi (2nd in 100 Back); and John Wintermute (2nd in 200 Fly, 3rd in 200 Breast). A special shout-out to our First Place earners Reese Berg (100 Breast, 200 Breast, 500 Free); Abby Czinkota (200 Back); and Ty Hollar (100 Back, 100 Free, 200 IM). 

Aside from almost a dozen first time swims, 38 of our 80 splashes were Personal Bests! While all were impressive, some even  exceeded 10 seconds of improvement like Joanne Antosiewicz’ 50 Free (-20.65);  Carter Bambara’s 200 IM (-1:06.74); Nataasha Bhagaloo’s 200 Free (-15.52); Alex Johnson’s 100 Free (-18.63); Briella Selby’s 100 Breast (-14.79) and 200 Free (-28.73); Caroline Turner’s 100 Back (-27.30); and John Wintermute’s 200 IM (-13.88); just to name a few!

Congrats to our swimmers who earned NJ Swimming Gold times in their current age groups: Rylee Bambara (100 Back, 100 Free); Reese Berg (100 Breast, 200 Breast, 200 IM); Julia Dutzi (100 Back); and Ty Hollar (100 Back, 100 Free, 200 IM)!
