Explosive Times at the PAAC Firecracker Meet!

Our swimmers traveled to Allentown, PA this past weekend for some fun outdoor swimming  at the PAAC Firecracker Meet- and they had a blast! They joined swimmers from 33 different teams, mostly from Mid Atlantic Swimming, for a change of pace and fast racing. With some top places and a bunch of Personal Best times, our 9 attending swimmers placed 21st.

Of our 35 splashes over the course of the 3 day meet, seven were first time swims and another 14 were Personal (long course) Bests! Swims like Carter Bambara’s 100 Free (-4.53) and 200 Breast (-11.59); Julia Dutzi’s 100 Breast (-11.23); Ty Hollar’s 200 IM (-5.66); and Briella Selby’s 100 Free (-7.17); really stood out. 

Despite being a bunch of unknowns visiting from another LSC, our swimmers introduced themselves with some top scoring places like Rylee Bambara’s 100 BAck (7th); Reese Berg’s 200 Breast (12th); Julia Dutzi’s 200 IM (16th); Channing Muller’s 100 Back (16th), 200 Back (12th); Sam Taylor’s 50 Back (16th); and an unbelievable weekend by Ty Hollar who finished in scoring positions for all of his swims including the 400 Free (2nd), 100 Back (3rd), 100 Breast (16th), 200 BAck (3rd), 200 Free (4th), 200 IM (2nd), and 1500 Free (4th)!
