George Soutter Owner, Head Coach

Coach George began his swimming career swimming for the Leonia Swim Team in the North Jersey Pool Managers Association conference from 1973-1981. From 1984-1996 he was a swimming instructor, and eventually the Assistant Aquatic Director for the YWCA of Bergen County in Ridgewood, NJ. He became the Girls Varsity Swimming Coach at Paramus Catholic High School in 1994 and the following year started a boys’ team. In 1996 he began coaching at Kittatinny Regional High School in Hampton, NJ as an assistant swimming coach, becoming Head Coach in 1999 where he continues today. In 2004 Coach Soutter founded and coached the Kittatinny Barracudas Swim Team. He began coaching for the Sussex County YMCA Swordfish in 2006 as an age-group coach, and was Head Coach from 2011-2016. He is a certified USA Swimming and ASCA Level 2 coach. Coach Soutter has served the Wallkill Valley Swim Conference as President since 2009. He is married to Debra, and has three children Evan, Christopher, and Hannah.

Jaclyn Bambara Coach

Coach Jaclyn Bambara has been coaching with the North Jersey Barracudas since 2022. Coach B was the Assistant Swim Coach by of the High Point Regional High School Swim Team from 2014. In 2016, High Point joined forces with Wallkill Valley, as a co-op team, and Jaclyn continued her position as the assistant coach. During the 2017-2018 season, the HPWV Girls Team was honored as the first place team at the Sussex County Swimming Championships and went to the State Sectional Finals. During the 2019-2020 season, Jaclyn took over the position of Head Coach for the High Point/Wallkill Valley Swim Team, where she stayed until 2022. She is also a coach for the Kittatinny Barracudas Swim Team in Augusta, NJ. She is a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist at Frankford Township School and the mother of two Barracudas swimmers.

Erica Campbell Coach, Swim Instructor, Lifeguard

Coach Erica has been swimming since she was a young child. She swam the Kittatinny Barracudas Summer Team from 2004-2007, where she also volunteered to help coach the 6 &Under swimmers. She went on to become a big point-earner for the Kittatinny Regional High School Varsity Swim Team, swimming 100 Fly, 200 Free, and 100 Back earning her varsity letter and being a championships qualifier. While at KRHS, she volunteered as an assistant coach for the Junior High team, and taught swimming lessons in the summers. She swam for the NJ Gators during the 2007-2008 season, and then began coaching with them until the team closed in 2016. Coach Erica was a swim instructor at the Swim Fitness Center from 2007-2010, and has lifeguarded for Crandon Lakes, AquaPro Lifeguards, and Centenary College where she graduated in 2015 with a BA in Graphic Design.

Calista Selby Coach

Coach Cali Selby began her journey in the world of swimming as a year-round swimmer with a USA Swimming club in Rawlins, Wyoming. Cali quickly fell in love with the sport and continued to swim with the same club for more than 10 years, qualifying for state age group championships many times.    She was also a member of her high school swim team, leading them to back-to-back Wyoming 3A High School State Championships while earning a high school academic All-American award. Cali is currently a laboratory technician at a local high school and mother of a Barracuda swimmer.

Hannah Soutter Coach

Coach Hannah has been swimming competitively since the age of 5. Starting with the Kittatinny Barracudas summer rec team in 2007, she joined the Sussex County YMCA  Swordfish, and moved on to the NJB upon their startup in 2016. While an athlete at NJB, she served as an Athlete Rep with NJ Swimming, and even had the honor of assisting Olympian Ryan Murphy at a clinic he presided over for the LSC. She attended Eastern States Clinics and worked with Olympians Ryan Lochte and Nathan Adrian in the pool.

In high school, Coach Hannah swam for the High Point Wildcats, earning her Varsity Letter early on, along with All League recognitions.

After high school, she swam for Husson University in Bangor, Maine while earning her MBA in Healthcare Administration. While there, she was a Team Captain, a qualifier for New England Interscholastic Swimming & Diving Championships, numerous North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championships, and her team was NAC Champions for four consecutive seasons. She is a member of the 800 Free Relay School Record. While at Husson, she also taught swimming lessons for the university and was involved with Special Olympics Maine as a coach. She returned for two summers to coach the Kittatinny Barracudas during this time.

She is excited to come back to NJB as a coach to help our swimmers reach their full potential in and out of the pool.

Rowan Bienes-Allen Coach
Coach Rowan has spent much of her life in and around the pool. She began her competitive swimming career at the age of 5 on the Belvidere Barracudas Swim Team, where she was a perennial qualifier in all events throughout her tenure there. She began swimming for the Easton YMCA when she was 7, and continued swimming on both teams for 10 years. She swam for Belvidere High School, where she excelled at Fly.
 
She stayed involved with swimming by teaching swimming lessons and lifeguarding throughout her undergrad and graduate work at Tulane University. After law school, she returned to the Belvidere Barracudas as a coach, and is excited to share her passion for swimming with our NJB athletes!
Sydney Mills Coach

Coach Sydney started swimming at the age of 7 for the New Jersey Gators in 2010. When the Blairstown Gators disbanded, she joined NJB and helped her team qualify for Eastern Zones Sectionals Team 200 medley relay, in 2021. In high school, Coach Sydney swam for Newton Lenape Valley combined Swim Team where she was a four year Varsity letter earner and on the 2018-2019 Sussex County Championship team. 

After high school, Sydney attended Frostburg State University in Maryland for a bachelor's degree in Science. While there she swam for the Bobcats and was part of the conference winning girls team for three consecutive years. Coach Sydney hopes to continue her education to become an Occupational Therapist.

Tommy Nichols III Coach

Coach Tommy joined The North Jersey Barracudas coaching staff in 2025. He swam breaststroke at Roanoke College, where he was team captain for two years, and earned his degree in Health and Physical Education with a minor in Health and Exercise Science.

Tommy began coaching in 2022 with the Virginia Gators in Roanoke, VA, and is excited to be around the sport even after his time in the pool has ended. He loves coaching because swimming not only builds physical strength but also teaches lifelong lessons that go far beyond the pool.

Outside of coaching, Tommy teaches Health and PE at Blairstown Elementary School and enjoys lifting, hiking, and camping.
