Breakout Swims at NJ USA 13&O Silver/Bronze
The Devilfish Silver/Bronze Team competed at the NJ USA Swimming 13&0ver Silver/Bronze Camps held at Rutgers University March 10-11. Twenty-four of our thirty swimmers entered achieved at least one personal best time with many breakout swims. Highlights include a first place finish by Noah Stiles (15-19 200 Fly) a 4.71 second improvement, Marina DeCotiis placed third (13-14 100 Free) smashing her best time by 3.72 seconds and Rachel Fan touched third (15-19 200 Back) besting her time by 8.89 seconds.“Top 16” finishes include:
13-14 Boys: Aedan Collins (16th-200 IM); Gavin Conlon (6th-100 Free); Jesse Liu (13th-200 Free and 14th-100 Free); Michael Mizus (12th-200 Free); Griff Morgan (7th-1000 Free); Liu, Mizus, Morgan, Blake Taylor (8th-200 Medley Relay); Austin Kreusser, A. Collins, Conlon, Morgan (13th-200 Free Relay).
13-14 Girls: Caitlin Collins (15th-200 Fly), Marina DeCotiis (15th-200 Back), Emma Phillips (9th-100 Breast), Maddie Reynolds (8th-100 Free and 10th-200 Free). M. Reynolds, Emily Oster, DeCotiis, Phillips (13th-200 Medley Relay); Emily McGann, Lizzie Diamantopoulos, Bridget Reynolds, Elise Morano (13th- 200 Free Relay).
15-19 Boys: Matthew Celeste (16th-100 Fly), Alex Penn (12th-100 Back), Noah Stiles (8th-100 Back and 16th-200 Free) Tommy Pyle, Max Picut, Celeste, Stiles (7th-200 Medley Relay).
15-19 Girls: Julia Diamantopoulos (5th-200 IM, 11th-50 Free); Katherine Duffy (15th-100 Breast).
