WY Devilfish Reap Success at MCY Harvest Meet

The Westfield Area Y Devilfish Swim Team garnered victories, best times and experience in new events at the MCY Harvest Meet hosted by the Greater Morristown YMCA (MCY) on November 24-25. The Devilfish fielded a large team as this invitational required no time standards. This open format allowed younger or less experienced swimmers a chance to try longer, mid-distance events. MCY’s pool is a challenging 25 meter short course, longer than the more traditional 25 yards. Roan Baker (8&U 50m Breast,100m Free), Eric Bebel (11-12 100m Fly), Ryan Bebel  (11-12m 200 Free,200m IM), Aidan Collins (13-14 100m Fly, 50m Free), Alyssa Hitzel (8&U 50m Back), Connie Liu (9-10 100m Free, 100m IM), Muriel Maloney (200m Free, 200m Back, 200m IM), Julia McGann (100m Fly, 100m Free), Aidan Trenery (8&U 50m Back), Kevin Warren (8&U 100m IM), and Nick Youssef (200m Back) won individual event titles in their respective age groups. In addition, best times were achieved by the following swimmers: Julia Anderson, Grace Cash, Caitlin Collins, Marina Decotiis, Gwyn Devin,  Julia Diamantopoulos, Lizzie Diamantopoulos, Aidan Donohue, Caroline Felix, Maya Grantz, Amy Hitzel, Andrew Kapadia, Ana Maria Kobori , Xenia Kobori , Natalie Lee, Amy Liang, Emily McGann, Timothy McGann, Rory McGovern, Michael Mizus, Sydney Paoletti, Charotte Perez, Alex Prystupa, Audrey Pucciarelli, Dean Pucciarelli, Colm Slevin, MacKenzie Smith, Ashlen Suen, Blake Taylor, John Veres, Kevin Wang, Steven Warren, Jeffrey Yang.
