The Wayne YMCA Bluestreaks Swim Team (NJBL) is a competitive swim team for swimmers from ages 6 to 18.

We offer a comprehensive year-round swimming program. In the winter season we are part of the Northern New Jersey YMCA Swim League with a full competition schedule that begins in early October and concludes with league championships in February. We are also a USA Swimming affiliated team that competes at invitationals throughout the season. Our swimmers have qualified for Junior Olympics, Zone Championships and YMCA State and National Championships.

Our coaches are dedicated to fostering a learning and competitive environment that encourages the YMCA principals of Honesty, Respect, Caring and Responsibility. The Bluestreaks strive to help each swimmer become the best that he or she can be through the sport of competitive swimming by challenging swimmers physically, mentally and intellectually. They will become physically conditioned, learn to appreciate teamwork, learn more about the science and mechanics of swimming and perhaps most important, learn personal responsibility and the correlation between effort and reward. The lessons that our swimmers learn from their participation on the team translate into fundamentally sound principles that can be applied throughout their lives. The bottom line in our swimming program is that we strive to develop great kids and hope they may also become great swimmers. We ask each of our swimmers to try as hard as he or she can and to accept the results.
