Here are some frequently asked questions

1) What does my child need to bring to practice?

Swimmers need a swimming suit, towel, goggles, a swim cap, and a water bottle.

2) How many days a week can my child come to practice during the trial?

Swimmers are encouraged to attend as often as they can during their trial period.  We want swimmers to get a feel for what it is like being on the team full-time!

3) How often are swimmers required to attend practice after joining?

Coach Mike recommends the following:

Novice:  2-3 days per week

Age Group 1:  3-4 days per week

Age Group 2:  5 days per week

Senior:  5 days per week

These are only suggestions- swimmers are welcome to attend as often as they like!

4) Do FCAT members compete in swim meets?

Yes!  We have meets at our pool and we also attend meets out of town.  Swimmers are encouraged to attend meets, but it is not a requirement.

5) How much does it cost?

Monthly fees are dependent on the group in which your child is registered.  Most swimmers begin in the Novice group and work their way up to the Senior group as their skill and age progresses.  We also offer an Outreach program that allows for discounted monthly dues to families who qualify for federal or state assistance.  We also offer a discount for families with multiple registered swimmers.  A breakdown of fees and dues can be found below.
