ONE TEAM  ONE VISION  ONE GOAL

About Us:

Thank you for your interest in LAC! Lakeside Aquatics has a well-rounded lessons program with 5 sites across North Texas. Sarah Crouch, the Swim School Director, has put together a recognized program. Since 2012, she has built a teaching progression that emphasizes swimmer safety as well as provides the essential building blocks to transition into competitive swimming.

The LAC Developmental Program is designed to give every student the foundation for proper stroke technique and efficient swimming. Whether your goal is club swimming or water safety, this program will fit your swimmer.

We offer swim lessons all year long. On the first day of lessons, we evaluate your swimmer to determine the appropriate starting level. The 10 level progression builds all four competitive strokes, step by step. Daily swim evaluations allow for swimmers to move at their own pace. Once they complete a level, they will move on to the next skill set--no need to wait for the next session or the rest of the group. The lesson schedule is listed below for each site. When selecting your preferred class, make sure you are at the correct pool as we have multiple lesson locations.

LAC lesson locations:

Northwest ISD Aquatic Center in Justin (NISD)

Keller ISD Aquatic Center (KISD)

The Keller Pointe (TKP)

Eastside Aquatic Center in The Colony-(TC)

Westside Aquatic Center in Flower Mound/Lewisville (WAC)

Path to Stroke Team Overview

In lessons, we teach a progression of skills for all four competitive strokes, flipturns, and starts. Once your swimmer has completed all 10 levels, they will be invited to our stroke team. Swimmers are placed in the appropriate stroke team based on age and skill. The red team is the first level and the Black team is the second level. Schedules for these groups can be found at www.swimlac.org. Age restrictions vary per site.

Path to Club Overview

Once a swimmer has completed all the skills and passed all the test sets for Black 1 or Black 2, they will be invited to one of our club teams based on age and skill. If your swimmer is starting in the lesson program at 11 or 12, the path to club is more difficult. If you have an older swimmer and your goal is to join the club eventually, email your site's deck manager to get more information.
