Swimkins Cruise to Finals in California

TeamUnify

Once again, Swimkins had a strong showing at this year’s U.S. 13-15 Age Group and Junior National Championships, which were held in Riverside, California April 10-14. This competition is one of the most elite events for USA Synchro; all of the top swimmers in the country attend. Our Swimkins athletes accomplished the following:

In the Junior category, Ashley Latchford competed in solo finals, placing 5th overall with her free and technical routines combined. Isabelle Lange also had a strong swim in both of her solo events, placing 16th and narrowly missing finals by less than 2 points. Ashley and Isabelle placed 8th with their free duet routine and 13th overall with their combined duet scores after pre-swimming in finals.

In the 13-15 Age Group category, Taylor Sullivan placed 8th in finals with her solo routine and 11th overall. Sullivan and duet partner Olivia Canna placed 16th with their duet routine.  The team of Sullivan, Canna, Olivia Biesinger, Bethany Brzykcy, Angelie Roger, Sabrina Starck, and Maille Young, placed 10th in finals.

So all in all, such amazing results! A huge thanks to all of our coaches: Kristina, Meghan, Laura, Ana, Cindy and Vasilisa, for preparing our girls for these Nationals. Another huge thank you goes to chaperone extraordinaire Lisa Canna, who fed all of the girls and coaches tons of awesome (and healthy!) food and snacks.

And, as always, thanks parents for all you do and for your continued support.  None of the above would happen without you!
