Fundraising opportunity: Time at Zones
KMSC Boosters have an excellent opportunity to raise funds for our booster club, while also supporting Oklahoma Swimming and the sport our children enjoy so much.
From Aug. 1-3, OCCC will be host to the Central Zones 14 & Under Swimming Championships, a meet that showcases the top swimmers in nine LSCs, including nearby neighbors Arkansas and Kansas and faraway states such as North Dakota and Wisconsin. These swimmers ages 14 and under must achieve AAA time standards to qualify. It's no easy feat, and it's a HUGE accomplishment when a swimmer qualifies for this meet.
Our team will providing timers for all three sessions on Sat., Aug. 2. The sessions include prelims for 11-14 year olds (7:45 a.m.-noon), the 10&Under session for younger swimmers (12:15-4 p.m.), and the finals session for the top 8 11-14 year olds (4:15-8:30 p.m.). We will need 16 timers 3 relief timers, and 2 head timers at each session.
Only a small percentage of Oklahoma swimmers qualify for this meet, so we will need ALL of our families to chip in and help. Most of our volunteers will not have a swimmer in the water, so we're asking everyone to give a little time on this day. If you were unable to participate in our Swim-A-Thon, this is a great opportunity for you to raise money for the booster club without asking others to donate.
You will also have the chance to watch incredibly fast swimming in a championship-level meet that doesn't come to OKC too often! Parents, if you have high school swimmers who are too old to swim at this meet, you may sign them up to be timers. What a great way for them to give back to their teammates and fellow swimmers.
Please consider signing up today through the Events/Meets tab, and thank you for supporting Oklahoma swimming and the KMSC Boosters!

- Each volunteer will receive a t-shirt and food and beverage from Hospitality.
- Volunteers should dress appropiately to represent the signifigance of the event. (No heels required, but no PJs!)
- Oklahoma Swimming is also seeking Colorado Timing assistance. Please contact Laura Healy for more details.
