Request an evaluation - Please note we are currently on a brief break and will begin to schedule evaluations no earlier than the week of Aug. 18. Please don't worry if we do not get back to you until that time. 

 

The first step is to schedule an evaluation for your child. Our coaches will assess your child's current swimming ability and determine if your child is ready for the swim team and which training group is best.

Attend the evaluation



KMSC practices at two locations. Evaluations are regularly offered at the Mitch Park YMCA in Edmond and the Stillwater YMCA. 

Mitch Park YMCA - 1501 W Covell Rd, Edmond, OK

  • Enter the competition pool through the north YMCA entrance. Proceed to the pool area and look for the KMSC coaching staff. 

Stillwater YMCA - 204 S Duck St, Stillwater, OK 

  • Families can park in the YMCA parking lot South of the YMCA building. Please enter through the front entrance and let the front desk know that you are here for an appointment with King Marlin Swim Club. They will direct you to the pool deck.

What to wear and bring to your evaluation

Swimmers should wear their swimsuit to the pool and bring a towel for the evaluation. We also recommend they have googles and a swim cap, although they are not required for the evaluation. 

 

 

Register with King Marlin and with USA Swimming

 

Once you're ready to join, click here to register your child on www.kingmarlin.com. You will be given your child's practice group name at your evaluation. Select the group for enrollment and add it to your shopping cart. Then start the checkout process.

  1. You will be prompted to create a Sportsengine account. This account should be set up with the parent or guardian's information. If you have been part of another sports league such as a soccer team, you may already have a sportsengine account. You do not need to create a new one. After the sportsengine account is created, you will then add your swimmer to your account as part of your household.
  2. You will need the following information to complete adding a swimmer to your account: child's birthdate, parent contact information, child's doctor's name and contact information, and medical insurance card.
  3. You must pay your annual membership fee and first month's dues prior to your child attending practice. If you use a credit card this will become your default payment method. If you choose to pay by check, you must provide payment at or before the child's first practice and by the 7th of each subsequent month to not incur late fees.
  4. Register for your USA Swimming Membership. This is required and necessary before your child's first practice. You are required to use our King Marlin-specific link to register with our club. When you set up your account you will set up the account with the Parent or Guardian's information first. After your account is set up, you will then add the swimmer as a member under your account. You are required to choose the Premium Membership. USA Swimming provides a guide to registration if you get stuck.

After you've registered

Welcome! Your account will be reviewed by our coaches. You will not be able to log onto the website until your account is approved, which can take up to 1-4 business days. Upon approval, we recommend you do the following:

  1. Use your email logon/password to access the site.
     
  2. Set up your payment preferences. You may choose automatic payments via credit card or bank account withdrawal. These two methods do not incur any monthly fees. If you choose to manually pay via credit card each month, you will be charged fees by the financial institution that processes the payment.   3. Keep an eye on your email for team updates. Check your Spam/Junk folder often, then mark our emails as "not spam" to ensure you're receiving everything.
     
  4. Browse the website. We have great resources for parents throughout the site. We recommend you begin with the TEAM INFO tab. 
     
  5. You can begin registering for meets by clicking on the Meets/Events tab and choosing the event you wish to attend. 

 

Canceling Your Membership

How do I cancel my membership?
We require a 30-day notice to turn off your account if your swimmer is enrolled in Onyx, Sapphire, Ivory, Purple, Senior Development or Senior.  For Pre Prep, Prep, and HS, you must notify us in writing by the 23rd before the month you wish to withdraw. 

You must use the Contact Us link to request cancelation. Verbal, text or email notifications to a coach do not constitute an acceptable cancellation request.
