How much does it cost?

Early Bird Registration (Starting March 1, 2025):

  • $175 for the first swimmer
  • $165 for each additional swimmer,
  • Family max of $600.

Regular registration (Starting April 10, 2025)

 

  • $199 for the first swimmer
  • $189 for each additional swimmer
  • Family max of $650

(Your fees include a silicone cap, a team T-shirt, and ribbons, certificates, daily practices 4-5 times/week for 2 months, league dues, credit/debit card fees, & SportsEngine Fees ).

How old does my child have to be? What are the requirements?

Between the ages of 4 and 18 prior to June 1. Each child 6 and under will be required to swim one length of the pool without assistance. This will be determined during an individual swim test on the Friday the first week of practices (to be confirmed).

When are practices?

When school is in session, there are NO FRIDAY PRACTICES.

 

Starting April 28th through May 2 (M-Th):

  • 7/8's: 5:00-5:45 PM

  • 9/10's: 5:45-6:30 PM

  • 11 & up: 6:30-7:30 PM

Starting May 5th through May 29th (M-Th)*:

  • 6 & under: 4:30-5:00 PM

  • 7/8's: 5:00-5:45 PM

  • 9/10's: 5:45-6:30 PM

  • 11 & up: 6:30-7:30 PM 

 

*No practice May 28. We wish you a meaningful Memorial Day.

Starting Friday, May 30 through June 27th (M-F):

6 and under: 7am-7:30am

7 & 8: 7:30am-8:15am

9 & 10: 8:15am-9:00am

11 and up: 8:45am-9:45am

 

Mini Meet Championships for 6 & Under, possibly June 24/25 Details TBD

Championships for 7+, possibly June 28/29. Details TBD.

When are meets?

​Generally, Wednesday nights. We will have 3 home meets, 2-3 away meets and a mock meet for time trials. Keep an eye on our home page for meet details. 

 

What are the volunteer requirements?

Each family that has swimmers signed up ​is required to volunteer at FIVE shifts. We cannot run the meets without volunteer involvement.

Can we miss practice?

Our goal with this swim team is first and foremost to instill a love of swimming and have FUN!

With that being said, swimmers:

  • Should be at 3 practices a week if possible

  • Can miss a week (or two!) for summer camps/family vacations

  • Please talk to the coach directly about make-ups

 

I'm excited for the swim season to start, but how can I help NOW?

We are in need of SPONSORS! Ask your boss, your neighbors, your friends and see if they will donate.

Are practices cancelled for weather?

Swimming will not occur during inclement weather. In general, postponement of practice will occur for 30 mins after the last clap of thunder/lightning within an 8 mile radius of Oyster Point. If there is a rain delay, practice will resume once inclement weather has passed, but will not result in an extension of practice time. Practices that are fully canceled are not rescheduled. Postponement and cancellation are at the discretion of the head coach and will be communicated via email/signs on the pool gate.

​Can we still be in the pool during practices and meets if we're not on the swim team?

During practices, residents WILL be able to use the deck area, the 4 ft area, and the wading area. We will also have one lane open for lap swimming. The lap lane will be for adults only, circle-style swimming during team practices. 

​

During meets, the pool will be limited to swimmers only during meets for insurance reasons. However, residents are welcome to be a spectator on the pool deck and will be covered by the insurance rider. A reminder that this is for only 4 days for the year, mid-week, for a 6-hour period of that day.
