Lalanya grew up in Boston, MA where she started swimming competitively at the age of 7.  She attended Northeastern University where she earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Athletic Training and swam at the Division I level for 4 years.  Lalanya moved to Oregon in 2003 and practiced Athletic training for the orthopedic and fracture specialists, PCC men's and women's basketball as well as Oregon Rugby (specifically Newberg) until 2008.  She then found her way back to the pool by assitant coaching the Sherwood Y Dragons swim team for a year before becoming Head Coach for the next 7 years. Lalanya was also the Head Coach for Sherwood HS for 6 years during that time.  After the Sherwood Y Dragons swim team was disbanded due to Covid, she joined the CST staff as an assistant coach in 2020.  In March of 2021 she was named Head Coach/Head Age Group Coach of CST.  In the Fall of 2023 Lalanya became the head Senior coach.  Her coaching philosophy is to "have fun and make every moment count."  She enjoys coaching all ages and watching swimmers progress in the sport.  Her goal as the head coach of CST is to provide opportunities for swimmer's of all ages to improve and progress on a daily basis. 

Coach Erin grew up in Bend Oregon and swam competitively for 9 years.  She attended the University of Oregon and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology.   Possessing a love for science,  research, and teaching, Coach Erin has found a perfect blend while working with the athletes of the Chehalem Swim Team (2011-2025).  As the Head Novice Coach she is excited to welcome new athletes to our team and introduce them to the foundations of swimming and her love of the sport.   

Coach David joined CST as an assistant coach in November 2023.  He has an extensive background in coaching various sports and is excited to learn more about the sport of swimming.  He has a daughter on our 11&Over performance squad and two other children who participate in various other sports.  David currently coaches our 11&Over Entry and Precomp 3 squads as well as assisting Coach Lalanya with the 11&Over Performance squad.

Riley joined CST as a coach in Sept of 2023. She is from Bonney Lake, WA and attends George Fox university where she is studying kinesiology as well as competing on GFU's swimteam. She has been swimming competitively for 13 years and loves the sport so much that she felt a need to give back by coaching.  Riley is excited to use the knowledge she's gained through her years of swimming to help motivate and encourage the next generation of great swimmers. Riley currently coaches the Precomp 1, Precomp 2 and HS Rec squads as well as assists Coach Erin with the 11&Over Development and Coach Lalanya with the 11&Over Performance squads.
